Evelyn and Patrick threw the sort of wedding I hope mine will be like – full of friends and family partying down in your honor! I really do hope my parents can hit the dance floor as hard as Evelyn’s when our wedding rolls around. I don’t think I’ve ever seen a bishop with such amazing moves!
We began the day at the The Grand Hotel, a charming destination that was perfect for everyone to get ready while getting some good shots in. It was fun going from the guys’ hotel room, with its leisurely tie-knotting and sports-watching, to the ladies’ room, which was a flurry of hair product-applying and accessory-donning. We then headed over to St. Thomas Episcopal Church for the ceremony. It was a great mix of more traditional church architecture with modern twists. We closed the evening with a reception Tarragon Restaurant in downtown Sunnyvale. Their banquet hall was huge, and offered a great dance floor and beautiful balcony.
I must add a thank you to my fiancée Ainslie, who faithfully served as my second photographer. She got amazing shots, always full of ideas, and reliably keeps me from looking stupid – couldn’t have done it without her!
And a thank you to Evelyn and Patrick of course, for being generous enough to have me on their special day. Wish you both the best!
